Volunteers are a very important, essential resource for us at the center. The work that volunteers do varies according to what is needed at the time – walking dogs, cleaning cages, laundry, feeding  and giving love and attention.  Volunteers may also choose to work at the adjoining resort which supports the rescue center – at the kitchen, reception desk, gardening, or housekeeping. The minimum time commitment for volunteers is two weeks, with eight-hour work days (split into shifts), six days a week, with one day off.  

Volunteers receive accommodation in the staff housing area, as well as three meals each day, free laundry service, complimentary use of resort amenities such as the swimming pool, lounge and Wifi.

The resort is strictly vegetarian, serving gourmet vegetarian/vegan food.  Meat and meat-containing products are not allowed on the property.
